Dwarf George Brown

A rare and striking Penang Peach seedling collected from Singapore approx. 30years ago by George Brown, then curator of the Darwin Botanical Gardens. The original very old tree in Singapore was recently visited and is only 2.5m tall. A compact semi dwarf 2m x 2m.

After years of uncertainty and debate, we have proven that Dwarf George Brown and Musk rainbow are the same variety.

The flowers emerge a very deep strong color as seen in photo 1 Musk rainbow. As the flowers mature, they fade into a beautiful pink, tan annd pale purple colored flower as seen on photo 2, Dwarf George Brown.

  This is a very special variety. A true semi dwarf tree to 1.5 m with flowers that are of unique coloration.

Richard Criley rainbow is the best dwarf evergreen frangipani in the world.  A world famous, highly sought after and very rare dwarf  evergreen obtusa hybrid, offered for the first time in Australia.

A more squat, less spreading shape and more robust plant with stronger pink colour of flowers and dark red star in center of flowers.
